Chris was born and bred in Auckland, New Zealand.

Commonly known as ‘Showstoppr’ Chris is a proud Samoan Kiwi and All Blacks supporter. In 2013, shortly after getting married, Chris and his wife Teejay made the move to Sydney, Australia. 9 years later, they now reside in Melbourne with mini showstoppr sons, Jaxx and Maddox.

Chris picked up the tattoo machine in 2009, working out of his lounge before getting a start at a local studio a year later. Since making the move to Australia, Chris has been committed to refining his craft. With a keen eye for texture and granular detail, Chris has worked hard to become an internationally known artist who’s serious about his shit; but also loves a good dad joke!

Over the years, Chris has travelled the world participating in both local and international conventions and winning tattoo awards with his hyper detailed, colour infused black and grey surrealism tattoos which has earned him a reputation and his nick name “Showstoppr”. Chris is also known for his ability to morph his references together and his ‘silverwash’ method. Recently Chris has started facilitating seminars and workshops. If you have met Chris, you’ll know he is always happy to share his knowledge and belongings with anyone he comes across and is always keen for a mean feed and a couple beers.

When he’s not tattooing, you’ll find him with his family making memories or at the local boxing gym trading leather or playing golf with the boys. His other talents also include eating, taking too long to make food choices, more eating and singing along to Adele and Stan Walker.
